Process
Blown Film Extrusion
The process of making polyethylene bags using blown film extrusion begins with the raw material, which is typically a pelletized form of polyethylene resin. The resin is fed into an extruder, which is a machine that melts the resin and forms it into a continuous tube of molten plastic.The molten plastic tube is then fed into a circular die, which is a tool used to shape the plastic. The die is positioned in front of a cooling unit, which cools the plastic as it exits the die.As the plastic exits the die, it forms a continuous tube of plastic that is still in a molten state. This tube is then passed through a set of nip rollers, which flatten the tube into a flat sheet of plastic.
Extrusion

In this process, polyethylene resin pellets are melted down and then forced through a die to create a continuous tube of plastic film. The tube is then cooled and flattened, and may be treated with additives or coatings to improve its performance.
